The Board of County Commissioners voted unanimously during Tuesday’s regular board meeting to accept a two-year payment plan to cover the $320,000 tab for a Pine Ridge man shot in February by a Citrus County Sheriff’s deputy.
“West Central Florida is one of the fastest growing regions in the State for port economic development.” That’s the message Tampa Port Director and CEO of the Tampa Port Authority Richard Wainio wanted to stress as he spoke to members of the Chamber of Commerce at Friday’s Chamber Luncheon at Citrus Hills Golf and Country Club in Hernando.
More than 50 of Florida’s top CEO’s and business leaders gathered Thursday at the Plantation Inn in Crystal River for a quarterly Tampa Bay Partnership board meeting.
The numbers are out and once again unemployment goes up in Citrus County by a fraction of a percentage point while the state over all stays the same.
